Losing the toss, the 1s batted first in a reduced overs match (T20) due to the heat.

Pirera (33) and aingha (16) got the boys off to a really good start. Solid contributions from Sheedy (19) and Nick England (30 off 23) got us to a very competitive 9/131 off our 20.

Competition leading wicket taker Baz Whelan got us off to the perfect start (not the first time this season) taking a wicket with the first ball of the innings. Baz picked up another one quickly to have trinity 2/6. Great bowling performances through the middle from Todaro into the wind (1/17 off 4) and Aingha (1/20 off 4) had us in a great position. Whelan came back at the end picking up 2 more wickets in 2 balls to end with 4/13 off 4, before Angus Webb sealed another win for the Old Xavs.
